The main issue with a site of this nature is keeping load times fast. The Galway Bay FM site has tonnes of content including podcasts and video. We have grown traffic to over 1 million page views a month and load time has been a critical factor in reaching this milestone.

To keep GBFM quick whilst also catering for hundreds of thousands of server requests daily, we used the best technologies available, namely, WP Engine and Amazon S3.

These services enable us to store and call in different content from different locations and display it at lightning speed when called. They also add additional layers of security to the site.
