From the moment Dawnlough approached us for a website redesign, we were excited by the prospect of delivering a premium digital solution for a world-class, precision engineering company based in our hometown.

Dawnlough

Engineering manufacturers at the forefront of Galway’s technology industry.

Established in 1987, Dawnlough has been providing high-tech manufacturing solutions to the Medtech, aerospace, and automotive industries for 35 years.

In line with the continued growth of their business, Dawnlough needed a website that would clearly communicate the depth of their experience, talent, and capabilities as well as showcase the range of services they have to offer.

Working with an expedited timeline.

We were delighted when Design Manager Aaron and Quotation and Sales Manager James approached us in mid-November 2021 looking for a website redesign.

From the get-go, one of their main priorities was that the new website would be ready to launch before Christmas. We knew this would take a lot of focus and efficiency to execute, but felt confident that our team were up to the task.

Dawnlough had done their homework; they knew exactly what they wanted and came to us with wireframes, images, and written content ready to go.

This immediately made the pre-Christmas deadline much more attainable.

From an on-site visit to website launch in four weeks.

At the very beginning of the project, our senior management team (CEO James Finan and CCO Colin Hanley) paid a visit to Dawnlough’s impressive 50,000 square foot facility at IDA Business Park, Mervue. They were treated to a tour of the facility by General Manager Eddie and came face-to-face with the expert machines and engineering processes behind Dawnlough’s success.

Visits like these are important in helping our creatives grasp the finer points of a client’s business, as well as adding context and deepening our understanding of their day-to-day.

Overall, the project took less than three weeks to complete. New features include a careers page where Dawnlough can post job openings and applicants can submit their information directly via the website. Each one of Dawnlough’s services now has a dedicated page, while their news section includes social media integration (newly published articles are automatically posted to their LinkedIn page).

Our Lead Project Manager Rose also developed a new dynamic concept for the homepage, incorporating silent video footage that shows Dawnlough’s machinery and designers in action.

We came across Ourside while looking to update our company’s website and were delighted with the level of interaction we got from their whole team. They were always quick to reply and if we ever had any questions they had no problem jumping on a video call to help with a solution, or to explain where their line of thought was coming from. Even though we set a very tight project deadline, Rose, James and Colin were able to provide us with a refreshingly modern looking website that conveyed everything we wanted while still making it stand out from other companies similar to ourselves. I would highly recommend the Ourside team to anyone looking for web or app development, and would be happy to work with them again in the future.
