Developing a responsive brochure site with user-friendly navigation.
Berwick Solicitors needed a brochure website that would allow potential clients to quickly browse their services offering. As they consider their team to be their most important asset, the website would have to highlight the strengths, successes, and specialisations of Berwick’s people, as well as the firm’s collective wins.
Shortly before the beginning of this project, Felicity McCarthy of Spark Digital performed a marketing audit of the Berwick Solicitors brand. The results were shared with our Project Manager, Rose, who used Felicity’s SEO research to align the sitemap design with ranking factors specific to Berwick Solictors’ industry.
This was to ensure that the new website appears higher up on Google search results, making it easier for potential clients to find and access Berwick’s services.
To streamline the user experience, every one of Berwick Solicitors’ services was given a designated webpage. Search boxes were installed on the homepage to simplify site navigation. ‘Our People’ and ‘About Us’ pages were created to draw attention to the Berwick team, while ‘Insights’ was designed to help market their services, and ‘Careers’ to bring them opportunities for growth.
An eagle eye for design.
Meanwhile, our Head of Design, Colin, developed a series of design options for the branding aspect of this project. He chose the appropriate colour scheme and fonts for the website, in addition to designing the ever-important logo.
Berwick Solicitors is named after Edward Berwick, an Irish lawyer who served as president of NUIG, then Queens College Galway, from 1849 until his death in 1877. Although a national brand, Berwick is born of the West and the Eagle was chosen to represent this.
The Eagle is part of the Connacht crest and also represents strength and loyalty. These values are at the heart of the Berwick brand.
Over the course of this project, Ourside designed and developed business cards and email signatures in addition to a new website and full rebrand. We’re glad we had the chance to work with such a celebrated local business and wish them every success going forward.
